Updated June 14, 2026 - Operator task guide
Telemetry measures service data to and from your device so customers can understand network quality from real devices in real conditions.
Key point: telemetry is valuable because it comes from real devices on real local connections, not simulated environments.

Task type
Passive telemetry
Your licensed device can contribute eligible service measurements while it stays online.
Current range
0.05-0.55 UP
Reference range per day, depending on demand and eligible telemetry work.
Participation
Opt-in
Enable task participation in the Unetwork app and keep the device signed in.
Device rule
Real device
Use a real phone or device on a real local connection, not a simulated setup.
What telemetry is
Telemetry collects eligible service measurements from active Unetwork devices. It helps customers understand how networks behave on real phones, real local connections, and real carrier paths.
This is different from lab-only or simulated testing. Real-device telemetry can show what is happening closer to the actual user experience.
Customers use telemetry to understand network behavior from live devices instead of modeled assumptions.

How it works
Telemetry rewards are tied to a valid license running on a real device.
Keep opt-in task participation enabled in the Unetwork app where it is available.
Leave the app installed, signed in, updated, and able to stay connected in the background.
When demand is available for your setup, the app can collect eligible service measurements automatically.
Requirements and rules
Telemetry quality depends on the device and connection being real, available, and useful. The goal is data customers can trust, not repeated or simulated network conditions.
Active Unetwork license
A valid license links eligible telemetry rewards to your operator account.
Opt-in participation
Telemetry should be enabled from the app task area when the option is available.
Connected real device
Keep a genuine device powered on, online, and able to maintain app connectivity.
Real network conditions
Customer value comes from real locations, carriers, Wi-Fi, mobile data, and local network behavior.
Useful connection profile
Unique real-world connections are more valuable than many devices repeating the same network conditions.

Rewards
The current reference range is 0.05 to 0.55 UP per day. Actual rewards depend on demand, uptime, connection quality, eligible telemetry work, and how unique or useful your connection is.

Platform update
The platform is being built to make real-device network data easier for customers and developers to use. As the product matures and demand grows, operator opportunities may improve over time.

Frequently asked questions
A telemetry task measures eligible service data to and from your device so customers can understand network quality from real devices in real conditions.
Real devices show what services experience on actual phones, networks, and local connections. This can be more useful than lab-only or simulated data.

Useful telemetry usually comes from real, available devices on genuine connections that help customers see network quality in a specific place, carrier, or setup.
No. VPNs, emulators, synthetic devices, and simulated environments reduce data quality and should not be used for telemetry.
Telemetry becomes less useful when many devices report the same network conditions. Unique real-world connections are more valuable.
Ready to contribute real data
Install Unetwork, sign in, enable task participation where available, and use a setup that produces useful real-world network data.
